Chair's Summaries of the Discussions of the Development Effectiveness Committee of the Board of Directors
On behalf of the Board, the Development Effectiveness Committee (DEC) discusses selected major evaluation reports submitted by the Operations Evaluation Department (OED), which became an independent department reporting directly to the Board starting in January 2004.
DEC discussion of an independent evaluation report usually precedes full Board discussion of a Management proposal related to the topic of the evaluation. The DEC's objective is to enable the anticipated related Board discussion to become better informed.
The DEC has decided that, consistent with ADB's Public Communications Policy, the Chair's Summary of each DEC discussion is made publicly available.
