About 3000 participants, including Finance Ministers, Central Bank Governors and representatives from the private sector, academia, media and civil society, are expected to attend the 47th Annual Meeting of the Board of Governors of the Asian Development Bank (ADB).
The meeting provides an opportunity for participants to hold formal and informal consultations that help shape economic, financial, and social policies and programs in Asia and the Pacific.
Date and Venue
The 47th Annual Meeting will be held at the Palace of Independence, Astana, Kazakhstan from Friday, 2 to Monday, 5 May 2014.
Kazakhstan joined ADB in 1994. This is the first time the country will be hosting an ADB Annual Meeting and the second time the event has taken place in Central Asia; the first one was in Tashkent, Uzbekistan in 2010.
A program of events is available on ADB’s Annual Meeting website.
Annual Meeting documents will be available on the ADB Annual Meeting website and participants may print documents they require for a fee in the internet centers at the Palace of Independence.

Online Media Invitation and Registration

Registration is solely for covering Annual Meeting events in Astana, Kazakhstan. Successful online registration for the Annual Meeting does NOT automatically guarantee access to Kazakhstan.
