Kazakhstan 2050: Toward a Modern Society for All

(Book presentation)

02 May 2014 (11:00 am-12:30 pm, Congress Hall 3)

Kazakhstan intends to join the ranks of the top thirty developed countries by 2050. The book "Kazakhstan 2050: Toward a Modern Society for All" written by a team of international experts presents an independent assessment of how to achieve this vision. It explores how Kazakhstan can build the foundations for an inclusive modern society by: building a strong human resource base; managing energy resources sustainably; growing a green economy; pursuing balanced and efficient urban and regional development; creating a modern knowledge economy; becoming fully integrated with the rest of the world; and building effective and inclusive institutions.

Copies of the book will be available.
