ROBERTO F. DE OCAMPO is president of the Asian Institute of Management. As the secretary of finance, Philippines, during the presidency of Fidel V. Ramos, he was the main architect in reviving the economy. His efforts have been widely recognized. His public service career started by pioneering the Philippines rural electrification program; he was the youngest administrator in the history of the Government. After working as a World Bank loan officer, Mr. de Ocampo became president and chief executive officer of the Development Bank of the Philippines, which became nationally and internationally recognized under his leadership. He holds an MBA from the University of Michigan and a postgraduate diploma from the London School of Economics.
