SURESH MENON is executive director of RAM, and chair of the Training Committee of the Association of Credit Rating Agencies in Asia. He joined RAM as a founding staff member in May 1991, and played a key role in developing credit-rating services and the bond market in Malaysia. Before joining RAM, he was consultant to the Ministry of Finance, Malaysia, from 1989, involved in restructuring and rehabilitating government-owned companies. In 1985-1988 he worked for Nestlé in Malaysia. As an engineer, he worked in a fertilizer plant in India in 1979-1982. He holds a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering from the University of Madras, India, and a master in business management from the Asian Institute of Management, Philippines.
