HIGHLIGHTS

Roundtable Meeting of Institutional Investors

The roundtable meeting will address topics of relevance to institutional investors, fund managers, and developing member countries of the Asian Development Bank (ADB):

  • Will institutional investors be able to reap rewards in Asia commensurate with the risk taken?
  • What was learned from the Asian crisis, and can fund managers do a better job in the new market upswing?
  • Can increased investment in corporate restructurings and resolution of nonperforming loans contribute to building Asia's capital markets?
  • If the risk-reward profile of Asia is not attractive to foreign investors, to what extent will Asia's institutional investors fill the gap when it comes to investment in private equity?
