HIGHLIGHTS

Trends and Challenges for Infrastructure Finance in Asia-Pacific
(Organized in cooperation with Standard and Poor's [S&P])

The seminar will highlight some key challenges and risks inherent in infrastructure finance projects and activities in the Asia-Pacific region. For most economies in the region, building infrastructure has been a priority as it is widely regarded as a precondition for sustained growth. Most countries will not have the financial wherewithal to fund plans of infrastructure build-out and will need to seek external capital.

This seminar will consider the following questions:

  • Will Asia's growth be sustainable without further investments in infrastructure?
  • What are the key risk factors to bear in mind in assessing investments in infrastructure?
  • What can you do to improve structuring of infrastructure projects?
