Corporate Restructuring in Asia
(Organized in cooperation with Woori Bank)
This seminar will examine the preconditions and progression of the international currency crisis in Southeast Asian and the Republic of Korea. Discussion will focus on subsequent restructuring efforts and asset sales of major corporations. Restructuring, the art of finance, will also be analyzed in detail. Restructuring through market mechanisms will continue to help financial authorities remain neutral in the face of political influence. In addition, these mechanisms can help steer corporations away from irrational business practices.
