As domestic capital markets expand and become more sophisticated, they are increasingly raising new issues regarding regulation,
supervision and macroeconomic management. Deeper and more vibrant markets are also attracting large capital inflows, further
advancing development but also creating closer links to global financial conditions. The recent turmoil in the global financial markets has also added a new dimension to the outlook for emerging market finance in Asia. The Institute of International Finance is organizing this lunchtime seminar which will draw on IIF's private sector experience to examine the implications that changing market dynamics have on growth and development in Asia.
