Anticorruption and Integrity
Updated: 10 October 2008

ADB's Anticorruption Policy requires that all ADB staff, and all parties carrying out activities financed by ADB, to adhere to the highest financial and ethical standards.

The Office of the Auditor General is the initial point of contact for allegations of and to screen and investigate fraud or corruption. The Integrity Division is ADB's independent investigative unit.

ADB launched the Second Governance and Anticorruption Action Plan [ PDF: 283kb | 71 pages ] (GACAP II) to improve its performance in the implementation of the governance and anticorruption policies in sectors where ADB operates.

ADB also supports governments' efforts toward effective and transparent systems for public service, anti-bribery and business integrity, through its governance work and active involvement in the ADB/OECD Anti-Corruption Initiative for Asia-Pacific*.

News

The current Operations Manual section on anticorruption is being updated to incorporate the introduction of ADB's GACAP II and other developments. The release is expected by 4th quarter 2008.
