Consulting Services
Updated: March 2008
The ADB engages individual consultants and consulting entities (firms, universities, NGOs, etc.) for a wide range of assignments.
For example, consulting entities are retained for pre-investment, sector, or other studies, detailed design, contract preparation, and project supervision.
Individual consultants, whether hired directly or through consulting entities, provide expert advice and help the ADB to prepare studies, appraisals, and reports.
All consultants must comply with ADB's policy on Anticorruption and Prevention of Sexual Harassment.
New Registration System
Prior to March 2008, ADB provided separate facilities for registering consulting entities (DACON) and individual consultants (DICON).
ADB now provides an integrated Consultant Management System (CMS) for registration and maintaining profiles of both consulting entities and individuals.
In comparison to the previous registration systems, CMS is easier to use, provides simplified or full registration options, and allows an update in real time.
Entities and individuals previously registered in DACON and DICON do not need to re-register; existing profiles have been transferred from the former systems to the new CMS.
Consultants interested in ADB consulting opportunities are encouraged to register and regularly maintain/update their profiles.
