Pacific Region – Higher Education Investment Program
The funding will help the University of the South Pacific expand access to higher education in its 12 Pacific Island member countries with improved regional campuses, ICT-based distance learning programs, student services, and management. The investment program aims to boost skills development, which in turn will promote more inclusive growth in the region. It is the ADB's first regional investment support in the education sector and the first direct ADF loan to a regional university.

Pacific region: Technical Assistance for Enhancing ADB’s Engagement in Fragile and Conflict-Affected States
This technical assistance aims to help ADB’s fragile and conflict-affected developing member countries build effective institutions that will support peace-building and state-building efforts by further developing and refining fragility assessment tools, and by mapping political economy in selected countries. This will, in turn, help formulate country-specific capacity development plans. Using differentiated country-led models of engagement will help ADB better support countries as they transition out of fragility.

Solomon Islands: Additional Cofinancing for Domestic Maritime Support
The Domestic Maritime Support (Sector) Project will provide frequent, reliable and safe interisland shipping services by rehabilitating or reconstructing 12 wharves and jetties, and establishing a franchise shipping scheme to remote areas that are not commercially viable. This additional cofinancing will close a financing gap and finance the reconstruction and rehabilitation of five wharves at Tatamba, Isabel Province; Ringgi and Ngasini in Western Province; and Waisisi and Uhu in Malaita Province.
