| Date: | January 2013 |
| Type: | Country Planning Documents |
| Country: | Afghanistan |
| Subject: | ADB administration and governance |
| Series: | Country Operations Business Plans |
Description
The country operations business plan 2013-2014 for Afghanistan describes the consistency of the business plan with the country partnership/regional cooperation strategy, including grants and projects in the pipeline.
The country operations business plan (COBP) for 2013-2014 supports inclusive growth by focusing on infrastructure investments that will lead to higher economic growth, connecting poor people to markets, and increasing access of poor people to basic productive assets and social services. The priority sectors identified in the CPS—energy, transport, and natural resources management—will be pursued through investment projects under the proposed COBP, as well as the following thematic issues—gender, governance, private sector development, and regional cooperation.
