Date: September 2008
Type: Statutory Reports and Official Records
Subject:
ADB administration and governance; Evaluation
Series: Annual Report on Portfolio Performance

Description

This is the seventh annual report on portfolio performance (annual report or the report) prepared by the Operations Evaluation Department (OED) of the Asian Development Bank (ADB). The purpose of the Report is to determine trends and evaluate issues related to the performance of ADB’s main portfolio, covering sovereign loans, grants, technical assistance (TA) projects, and private sector operations; and draw lessons for improving portfolio performance in the future. The structure and the detail of the main text and appendixes are intended to serve the needs of operational staff and ADB Management. The Report draws on ADB’s quarterly project and TA performance monitoring systems (project performance reports [PPRs] and TA performance reports [TPRs]). The PPRs and TPRs highlight implementation issues and provide ratings for implementation progress and expected achievement of impact and outcome. They also identify potential problem projects and projects considered “at risk.”
