The Publication Highlights summarizes the Asian Development Outlook, a flagship annual publication of the Asian Development Bank. The Asian Development Outlook 2005 contains three parts. In the first, aggregate trends and medium-term prospects of developing Asia and the Pacific are reviewed in the context of a baseline global economic outlook. The second deals with recent economic developments and prospects for the region from a subregional perspective. The third focuses on competition policy, highlighting the importance of microeconomic reforms to increase productivity, improve competitiveness, and enhance growth potential in Asia.
