The ADB-Japan Scholarship Program was established in 1988 to provide opportunities for talented individuals from the Bank's DMCs to pursue postgraduate studies in selected institutions in the Asian and Pacific region. The Program is funded by the Government of Japan and administered by the Bank. The Program enrolls about 200 students annually in 16 institutions throughout the region. The scholarships, for periods of one to three years, cover studies in economics, management, science and technology, and other development-related fields.
