IND: National Highway Sector II Project
Summary Initial Environmental Examination Report and Environmental Assessment and Review Framework
The National Highway Sector II Project in India involves upgrading of about 600-700 kilometers (km) of selected national highways (NHs), particularly the North-South Corridor along NH26 and NH7. The Jhansi-Lakhnadon road (400 km) will be implemented in the first phase. Under the sector loan modality, the Sagar-Rajmarg Chouraha section (98 km) has been selected as a sample project road as it represents typical technical, environmental, and social conditions along the Project roads.
