- advance protection of urban environments
- promote sustainable development in cities
- share information and best practices
- build partnerships with business sector, donor organizations,
and non-government organizations.
ADB's participation to 2006 MAPES aimed to
- highlight ADB's role in achieving urban environmental management and sustainable development
- improve knowledge base and facilitate the exchange of ADB's good practices on urban water among urban leaders in DMCs
- develop or maintain networking with urban leaders.
