Workshop to Discuss ADB's Scoping Study on Capacity Development for Service Delivery in Pakistan

ADB has initiated a scoping study on capacity development for service delivery in Pakistan. The purpose of this workshop is to discuss the results of the mapping exercise conducted in Phase I of the study and determine the selection of case studies for intensive study during Phase II.

  • present and discuss the consultants' findings on the mapping exercise on capacity development (CD) in Pakistan (major issues, paradoxes)
  • present key elements and conclusions of recent international debate and research on capacity development in international co-operation
  • derive a ‘short-list' of CD case studies (suitable for detailed exploration and description in Phase II of the Study, via the planned ‘Write-shops'), from the ‘candidate' cases suggested during the mapping exercise
