A steering group meeting organized by the ADB/OECD Anti-Corruption Initiative for Asia and the Pacific and Singapore’s Corrupt Practices Investigation Bureau.
A regional conference on the theme, Fighting Corruption in Asia-Pacific: Strategies for Business, Government and Civil Society, organized by the ADB/OECD Anti-Corruption Initiative for Asia and the Pacific and Singapore’s Corrupt Practices Investigation Bureau.
Both events are hosted by the Government of Singapore.

The 12th Steering Group meeting of the ADB/OECD Anti-Corruption Initiative for Asia and the Pacific seeks to discuss the implementation of the Anti-Corruption Action Plan for Asia-Pacific, including progress made in the implementation of anti-corruption reform projects since the Steering Group meeting in May 2008, and adopt the Strategy and Work Program of the Initiative for 2009-2011.
The 6th Regional Anti-Corruption Conference will serve as a forum for government, private sector and civil society to explore options for countering the supply-side of corruption and to assess their shared responsibility to fight bribery and corruption.

The 12th Steering Group meeting of the ADB/OECD Anti-Corruption Initiative for Asia and the Pacific has the following objectives:
- to report on and discuss the implementation of the Anti-Corruption Action Plan for Asia-Pacific, including recent anti-corruption reforms that have taken place since the 11th Steering Group meeting in May 2008;
- to discuss and adopt the Strategy and Work Program of the Initiative for 2009-2011;
- to discuss and adopt the methodology for voluntary country reviews;
- to discuss possible ways for sharing expertise on implementing standards under the UNCAC that are analogous to standards under the OECD Anti-Bribery Convention; and
- to discuss topics for thematic reviews and technical seminars for 2009-2011.
The objectives of the 6th Regional Conference are:
- to strengthen the capacity of the 28 member countries of the ADB/OECD Initiative in exploring options for countering the supply-side of corruption,
- to assess the shared responsibility of government, business and civil society to fight bribery and corruption, and
- to come up with a proposed action to advance the fight against bribe giving in Asia-Pacific.

- list of options for countering the supply-side of corruption, and
- increased cooperation and networking among practitioners from the Asia-Pacific region and ADB/OECD member countries to fight bribery and corruption.

- The plenary and workshop sessions will be conducted by experts from the private sector, businesses, civil society, and the Initiative’s member countries and jurisdictions.
