Background | Purpose | Objectives | Target Participants | Resource Speakers
Established in 2001, the Poverty and Environment Partnership (PEP) is an informal network of practitioners from development agencies, international environmental nongovernment organizations, and others working on poverty reduction and the environment. PEP shares knowledge and operational experience in addressing poverty and the environment, and seeks to improve coordination and collaboration among partners, while promoting ongoing and future joint activities.
The PEP members gather twice annually to:
- share knowledge and operational experience in addressing poverty-environment issues
- identify ways and means to improve coordination and collaboration at country and policy levels
- develop and discuss ongoing and future joint activities
ADB has been an active member of the PEP network since its inception and is hosting the 13th PEP meeting at its headquarters in Manila.
