1st Annual Progress Review Meeting of APWF KnowledgeHubs
24 June 2009; Singapore
Background | Objectives | Organizers | Participants
Launched in 2008, KnowledgeHubs is a network of regional water knowledge hubs under the Asia-Pacific Water Forum (APWF) committed to improving water security in the Asia-Pacific region. It will allow knowledge hubs to collaborate in developing, sharing, and disseminating knowledge and capacity development services in the region in more than a dozen water knowledge domains.
Each of the regional water knowledge hubs developed its own development/business plan in 2008, and presented these for peer review and fine-tuning in a workshop in April 2008. The KnowledgeHubs’ work program and organizational arrangements were also developed in this workshop, with ADB, UNESCO-IHE, and PUB Singapore designated to continue to guide the network’s operations.
A year since the KnowledgeHubs’ inception, managers of the APWF regional knowledge hubs will be holding their 1st Annual Progress Review Meeting at the PUB Singapore’s WaterHub to catch up on progress-to-date.
