2005 Public Communications Policy of the Asian Development Bank: Disclosure and Exchange of Information (effective until 1 April 2012)

| Date: | March 2005 |
| Type: | Policies, Strategies, and Plans |
| Subject: | ADB administration and governance |
Description
ADB's public communications policy (PCP) provides a framework to enable ADB to communicate more effectively. It replaces two policies that were adopted in 1994: the (i) Information Policy and Strategy and the (ii) Policy on Confidentiality and Disclosure of Information.
The PCP enables greater access to information and expands opportunities for those affected by ADB operations to influence decisions that shape their lives.
In 2007, the Board amended the PCP to allow the disclosure of project procurement-related audit reports.
