Private Sector Development: A Revised Strategic Framework
| Date: | February 2006 |
| Subject: | ADB administration and governance; Private sector |
Description
The primary goal of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) is to help its developing member countries (DMCs) promote economic growth, improve standards of living, and tackle poverty. Support for private sector development (PSD), defined as activities by governments, companies, individuals, ADB, or others to build a vibrant and competitive private sector in DMCs, is a key tool in this effort.
PSD has been an institutional priority at ADB since 1999. ADB
