Scope

The Project will be implemented in the three largest cities of Mongolia (Ulaanbaatar, Darhan and Erdenet) and three provinces to be selected before Project inception. The Project area has the highest rates of disabled persons living in poverty. The Project will benefit about 4,000 poor disabled members of the labor force (about 12 percent of the total number).

Objectives

Overall Objective

Decrease poverty incidence of disabled members of the labor force in targeted areas.

Project Purpose

Increase and diversify incomes of disabled persons, through employment.

Expected Output

  • new employment services, including training, for about 4000 persons
  • support services for about 50 businesses
  • employment of about 300 persons
  • information campaigns in six project areas
