Implementation Arrangements

Consultant Selection and Procurement. The selection and recruitment of consultants and the procurement of goods and services for stand-alone projects will be the sole responsibility of ADB. For the components of loan projects, the selection and recruitment of consultants and the procurement of goods and services will be carried out by the DMC recipients under ADB supervision. All projects to be financed by the Fund will follow ADB's Guidelines on the Use of Consultants and Procurement Guidelines.

Reporting. Approved projects will be required to:

  • submit annual financial reports and semi-annual implementation reports (describing the status of grants and containing a statement of expenditures) to the Sustainable Infrastructure Division of ADB's Regional and Sustainable Development Department;
  • report outputs and impacts via back-to-office reports, consultant reports and project completion reports to the Sustainable Infrastructure Division; and
  • prepare reports on ‘good practices’ emerging from the implementation of the project to be disseminated within ADB and other development partners to the Sustainable Infrastructure Division.

The Sustainable Infrastructure Division will prepare an annual report, including major achievements under the Fund and inputs from project implementation reports, to be submitted to the Government of the Republic of Korea.

Observers from the Government of the Republic of Korea may join the ADB review missions for activities financed under the Fund on the cost of the Government of the Republic of Korea upon the concurrence of the concerned project officer.
