Work Program

To select priority topics for evaluation studies, IED holds discussions with the Development Effectiveness Committee of ADB's Board of Directors, the President, and all Vice-Presidents. It also seeks inputs from the heads of ADB's operations departments. IED's work program has become more strategic and more integrated, with one evaluation feeding another.

Ongoing Evaluation

IED is conducting a second country assistance program evaluation for Viet Nam to assess the development effectiveness of ADB's country strategies and programs. Covering 1999–2008, the evaluation will also include assistance already being implemented in 1999. The first CAPE was prepared in 2000, covering ADB assistance in 1993–1998. The findings and recommendations of this proposed CAPE will be inputs for the next ADB country partnership strategy for Viet Nam.
