Eminent Speakers' Forum

The Eminent Speaker's Forum is a venue for ADB to interact with high level experts to discuss emerging issues confronting governments, corporations and development organizations related to ADB's work in its developing member countries (DMCs).

The Eminent Speaker's Forum in 17 September 2008, featured Prof. Kishore Mahbubani, Dean, Professor in the Practice of Public Policy, Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, National University of Singapore. He is the author of the new book The New Asian Hemisphere: The Irresistible Shift of Power to the East, as well as Can Asians Think? and Beyond the Age of Innocence: Rebuilding Trust between America and the World. He served for 33 years as a diplomat for Singapore and has written many articles on world affairs. His talk at ADB provided insights on how Asia became the third continent to develop after Europe and America and the factors that led to Asia's rise. Read Prof. Mahbubani's talk.
