ADB Microfinance Portfolio (Summary)

ADB is very active in microfinance assistance.

As of 31 May 2008, ADB's total microfinance portfolio (ongoing) was $1,718.36 million. This amount includes $237.53 million of loans from ADB's concessional window of funds - the Asian Development Fund, and $1,452.88 million from its commercial window of funds - Ordinary Capital Resources.

The portfolio also includes an equity investment of $2.5 million, a grant of $16.0 million under the Asian Tsunami Fund, and $9.45 million grant from the Japan Fund for Poverty Reduction and Japan Fund for Information and Communication Technology [ PDF: 12kb | 1 page ].
