Afghanistan Infrastructure Trust Fund (AITF) – Additional Contribution

The Government of Japan has made an additional contribution of $50 million to a multidonor fund supporting reconstruction efforts in Afghanistan.
Description:
The Government of Japan has made an additional contribution to the AITF, a multi-donor trust fund allowing contributors to cofinance projects approved by the Asian Development Bank (ADB). The fund is administered by ADB’s Office of Cofinancing Operations. This contribution is the second made by Japan, which was the first donor to contribute to the Fund in March 2011, through a $20 million grant.
