Armenia – Women’s Entrepreneurship Development Program Loans, TA

The Asian Development Bank (ADB ) has approved the following project loans and technical assistance (TA) grant:
Description:
The program helps women in Armenia make their micro and small businesses grow. The program includes a loan to help fund and strengthen the business environment with the Small and Medium Entrepreneurship Development National Center of Armenia. A companion loan will help participating financial institutions to lend to micro and small businesses, at least half of which will be owned and run by women. The program is supported by technical assistance to improve women’s business management and marketing skills.
Amount: $20 million policy-based loan and $20 million financial intermediation loan, both from ADB’s Asian Development Fund. $600,000 TA grant from ADB’s Technical Assistance Special Fund.
