Bangladesh: Third Primary Education Project
29 May 2012 -
The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has approved the following technical assistance:
Description:
This technical assistance aims to support implementation of the Third Primary Education Development Project by supporting the government in strengthening fiduciary reviews or reporting and data verification, which will lead to results-based planning, financing and reporting that should contribute to both good governance and better use of public funds. Building on the success of the First and Second Primary Education Development Projects, the Third Primary Education Development Project shifts from project work to planning and financing based on results. The Third Primary Education Development Project aims to affect primary enrolment and completion rates, as well as gender parity of students, by linking disbursement to reaching specified results.
Amount: $500,000 grant from ADB’s Technical Assistance Special Fund (TASF-IV).
