Cambodia – Rural Energy Project

The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has approved the following project:
Description:
This loan will increase access to economical and reliable energy supply for 8,000 rural Cambodian households by December 2014, and increase Kampong Province sales of Neang Kongrey stoves, which use less fuel wood and produce fewer carbon dioxide emissions. A total of 220 circuit-kilometers for medium voltage lines and 400 circuit-kilometers of low-voltage lines will be energized in Svang Rieng province.
Amount: $6.11 million grant to be financed by the Government of Australia and administered by ADB.
