Kazakhstan – CAREC Corridor 1 Project Loan

8 December 2011 - The Asian Development Bank has approved the following project:

Description:

The project will build and upgrade more than 60 kilometers of roads in Taraz in Zhambyl Oblast. The targeted roads are a vital part of a broader government investment program to improve over 2,700 kilometers of roads along CAREC Corridor 1 which passes through Kazakhstan from the People’s Republic of China, all the way to the Russian Federation’s western border.

Amount: $95 million from ADB’s ordinary capital resources.
