People’s Republic of China – Xi’an Urban Road Network Project Loan

The Asian Development Bank has approved the following project:
Description:
The project will improve the efficiency and safety of the urban road network in Xi’an, the provincial capital and economic center of Shaanxi Province. It will include pedestrian crossing upgrades, bus priority lanes, cycling facilities and a strengthened vehicle emissions inspection program to curb pollution.
Amount: $150 million from ordinary capital resources. Cofinancing will be provided by China Construction Bank.
