PRC: Ningxia Irrigated Agriculture and Water Conservation Project

The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has approved the following loan:
Description:
The loan will improve the income of farmers and growers of grapes and Chinese dates in select areas in Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region (Honsgipu district, Tongxin and Yanchi counties, and six farms of the Ningxia Agricultural Reclamation Group Co. Ltd.) The loan will introduce improved irrigation systems, better management of vineyards and Chinese date orchards, increase the grape processing capacity, and fund training for around 5,000 farmers.
Amount: $70 million from the Ordinary Capital Resources
