PRC – Promoting Low Carbon Energy Through Regulation – Technical Assistance

The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has approved the following technical assistance for the People’s Republic of China (PRC):
Description:
The project will fund a study and policy recommendations for strengthening energy regulations to promote low carbon development. The PRC is one of the world’s largest coal and oil users and regulatory upgrades are needed to encourage greater use of renewable power sources and increased energy efficiency that will support sustainable growth.
Amount: $400,000 equivalent grant from ADB’s Technical Assistance Special Fund.
