PRC – Support for Pan-Beibu Gulf Economic Cooperation

The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has approved the following technical assistance:
Description:
The Pan-Beibu Gulf (PBG) economic cooperation was jointly launched by ADB, ASEAN and the People’s Republic of China in 2006. This technical assistance will help establish a roadmap for economic cooperation that will allow the PBG initiative to define and position itself within the context of existing regional bodies; design a work plan for the next five years; and recommend measures to set up an institutional framework including sector committees, technical working groups and a secretariat.
Amount: $900,000, including $500,000 equivalent grant by the People’s Republic of China Regional Cooperation and Poverty Reduction Fund and $400,000 ADB grant.
