8 December 2011 -
The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has approved the following:
Description:
The project will build and upgrade basic urban infrastructure in Viet Tri, Hung Yen and Dong Dang―three medium-sized cities located in the north of the country―to help them become economic growth centers, complementing the capital Ha Noi. Improving services in secondary cities is also expected to ease migratory pressures on larger centers.
Amount: $70 million equivalent loan from ADB’s Asian Development Fund.
