2nd Regional Consultation Meeting on the Economics of Climate Change and Low Carbon Growth Strategies in Northeast Asia
Background
This 2nd Regional Consultation will report on the preliminary findings of the TA on how Northeast Asian countries are affected by climate change; how participating countries are adapting and what adaptation measures are practiced; what mitigation options are practiced or available for these countries to be able to contribute to GHG reductions; what policies and measures these countries have formulated in response to climate change; and what possible improvements could be undertaken.
Objectives
The second regional consultation aims to present and discuss:
- Current findings and projections on climate change impacts, vulnerabilities, adaptation and mitigation potentials at country- and regional-level; and
- Policies and measures at country-, regional, and international level.
Target participants
Participation is by invitation only
- SC members from each of the participating countries
- Climate change experts from academe, private sector, and other concerned organizations
