Background

The membership comprises Pacific Island water and wastewater utilities as well as international water authorities, private sector equipment and services supply companies, contractors and consultants. Since 2008, the PPWA has been holding its annual conference that greatly contributes to the continuous increase in PWWA's membership and strengthening of the network. For this year's conference, the theme is "Sanitation and Wastewater - A Pacific Solution?"

Through its Water Operators' Partnerships (WOPs) Program, ADB has been collaborating with the PWWA to promote and support twinning partnerships and other capacity building initiatives for water operators in the Pacific region. ADB, with support from its Water Financing Partnership Facility (WFPF), will actively participate in this 5th PWWA Conference and organizing a session on Twinning Partnerships to promote the WOPs Program.
