7th NARBO IWRM Training - Solutions to Water Sector Issues through IWRM: the Mahaweli River Basin Experience
The eight-day training program includes lectures and case studies with international specialists in integrated water resources management (IWRM) and staff from the Mahaweli Authority of Sri Lanka, the host organization. Participants will undertake two full-day field studies in the Mahaweli River basin, including dialogue with a cross-section of basin stakeholders. Study group discussions based on course materials, presentations, and the study visits will enable active interchange and debate on water management issues. Participants will develop group assessments and presentations on their findings from selected case studies.
