Capacity Building Workshop to Enhance Domestic and Foreign Investment Flows in the Asia Pacific Region
The objective of the program is to enhance the skills of relevant officials of selected economies in relation to effective policies and programs to ensure a sound and welcoming environment for domestic and foreign investment in their economies. A strong investment performance contributes to increased economic growth, consistent with enhanced economic well-being. Drawing on these issues, the program will have a focus on the more practical aspects of policies and programs conducive to a strong investment performance. The fundamental determinants of investment flows, including the importance of policy coherence will be covered, prior to examining the characteristics of a sound foreign investment policy and behind the border impediments to investment.
