Carbon Forum Asia 2011
Background
The Forum brings together private and public market participants, professionals and government representatives to discuss key industry trends shaping the future of carbon markets and mechanisms including the Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) with a focus on Asia and the Pacific.
Objectives
ADB is committed to helping its developing member countries (DMCs) transition to low carbon economies and will once more continue to bring in project developers, government agencies and other stakeholders from its DMCs in a special projects pavilion where participants can easily access the opportunities the carbon market offers to support mitigation projects. The conference stream will provide most updated information on the developments and experts will discuss the outlook of the carbon market post-2012.
Expected outputs
- Identification of project opportunities eligible for technical support and/or carbon co-financing from ADB's carbon funds managed under the Carbon Market Program.

Resource speakers
Director Gil-Hong Kim will deliver a speech during the Opening Plenary. Several professionals from ADB's Carbon Market Program and Regional and Sustainable Development Department will also present various topics during the Forum.
