Climate Action South Asia: Steering Economies Toward Low-Carbon and Climate Resilient Development

Background

The roundtable is being organized to discuss a support initiative on low-carbon and climate resilient development in South Asia developing member countries (DMCs) of ADB comprising Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal and Sri Lanka.

Representatives from the six DMCs – Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal and Sri Lanka, and development partners, NGOs, research organizations and centers of excellence engaged in climate change issues in the region will participate in the roundtable.

Objectives

To identify the scope of assistance, partnership and financing plans for the CASA initiative.

Expected outputs

A technical assistance project will be developed by ADB with cooperation with selected development partners.

Target participants

Representatives from ADB's six South Asia DMCs, development partners, NGOs, research organizations and centers of excellence engaged in climate change issues in the region.
