Developing Asia Journalism Awards Forum 2010
Post-event statement
Indian freelance journalist Mridu Khullar was named Development Journalist of the Year at the 2010 Developing Asia Journalism Awards Ceremony on 19 November 2010 in Tokyo. Her article, The Treasure of Trash published in The Caravan in February 2010, explores the challenges of waste management in New Delhi and the related impact on the poor.
The Awards Ceremony was part of the 2010 Developing Asia Journalism Awards (DAJA) Forum that brought 19 DAJA Finalists from across the Asia and Pacific region together to discuss the role of journalism in development and approaches to improving reporting on a range of development issues.
