Distinguished Speaker Seminar: C. Randall Henning - Connecting Regional and Multilateral Financial Institutions
C. Randall Henning is a Visiting Fellow at the Peterson Institute for International Economics and Professor of International Economic Relations at American University. He will give a seminar on "Connecting Regional and Multilateral Financial Institutions".
In his seminar, Mr. Henning (1) discusses the general case for RFA-IMF cooperation, (2) argues that cooperation should be organized on an ex ante basis, (3) reviews the policy and institutional matters that should be coordinated, (4) presents three basic principles for organizing cooperation, and (5) offers an “Interinstitutional agenda” of specific measures. The G20, member states and institutions should address this agenda proactively, before the next major crisis strikes.
