Eminent Speakers Forum: Gender Equality and Food Security

The CoPs on Gender Equity/Agriculture, Rural Development and Food Security have invited Olivier de Schutter, UN Special Rapporteur on the Right to Food, to discuss how strengthening gender equality can combat hunger. He will examine women's access to productive resources, land, and credit; the shift to more capitalized agriculture; and the impact on power relationships in rural communities.
