Follow-up Consultation Workshop on the National Road Map for Floods Early Warning System Development in Bangladesh
Background
"The National Road Map for Floods Early Warning System Development in Bangladesh" was developed through several workshops and interactions among related organizations in the Bangladesh supported by ADB) and the International Centre for Water Hazard and Risk Management (ICHARM) under the technical assistance for Supporting Investments in Water-Related Disaster Management (TA 7276).
Objective
The main objective of the workshop is to discuss a way forward for implementation of the National Road Map for Floods Early Warning System Development in Bangladesh.
Organizers
This workshop is organized jointly by the Bangladesh Water Development Board (BWDB), ADB, and ICHARM.
Expected participants
Expected participants include staff members of BWDB, the Disaster Management Bureau (DMB), the Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD), the Bangladesh Water Resources Planning Organization (WARPO), other national organizations, NGOs, and development partners.
Expected outcomes
The expected outcomes of the workshop lie in:
