Fraud and Corruption Awareness Workshop
Purpose
To help Supreme Audit Institutions (SAIs) in developing member countries (DMCs) to advance transparency and public accountability by sharing OAG's expertise and experiences in conducting investigations and project procurement-related reviews (PPRRs). This was formulated to capitalize on opportunities to work in partnership with SAIs and increase awareness of ADB's efforts in combating fraud and corruption at DMCs through PPRRs.
Objectives
To transfer fraud detection and prevention skills to SAIs through on-the-job training during the 5-week fieldwork of the PPRRs, and to augment SAIs with a workshop upon completion of each PPRR. This SSTA will add to the momentum of increasing DMCs awareness of and compliance with ADB's anti corruption policy gained over the least few years.
Expected outputs
- To further enhance the technical skills of selected SAIs in the area of detecting and preventing fraud and corruption.
- To provide tangible experience and on-the-job training in auditing ADB-financed projects.
- Enable each SAI to share their knowledge and materials within their organization and other key institutions in the country.
- Build partnerships with other DMCs, so to enhance transparency and public accountability.
Target participants
